Family History on DVD

Provides an easy to use medium for displaying and distributing key data, information, photographs and video clips to the wider family circle.

The results of any research project will invariably be kept as printed reports, various printed charts and diagrams, a computer data base and possible a collection of photographs.

These results - in such a form - can be shared with as many of the wider family who have the interest to read and study the results and have the computer skills and software to examine the database rsults.

Experience shows that this does not reach the full family circle. A more convienent and more easily accessable technical solution is to create a DVD of the key research results. Creating such a DVD - in effect a movie - is inevitably a story told in pictures - and these can be photographs, charts and video clips.

What makes such a such a DVD different from a straightforward "slide show" of still photographs is that there can be an accompanying sound track to provide a commentary or music and as pictures or charts are examined the camera can pan and zoom as the spoken commentary proceeds or accomanying notes are displayed on the screen - and of course video clips of different branches of the family or interviews with family members can also be included.

The costs for such a project will depend upon the material available and the family objectives and would be separately quoted for when these are known.
