Descendancy Charts

Descendancy Charts & Reports identify all the descendants and spouses of an ancestor (usually the earliest known ancestor of a particular line)

The classic form of the Descendancy Chart can optionally be enhanced with colour to emphasize particular generations or branches of the family.

Such charts usually require large paper formats, typically A2, A1 or A0 depending on the number of generations and descendants.

Descendancy information from any particular ancestor can also be displayed as a report on conventional sized paper (A4 or Letter size) in the following forms:

  • Abbreviated information with each generation indented as shown here.

  • In a "Register Report" which will report on each generation with all recorded information on descendants, spouses, marriages and children and optionally linked to all the source information used.

A "+" sign beside any child indicates that there is further descendancy information for that child in the section for the next generation and will be in sequence of the number allocated to each descendant.

Subscript numbers against any name or event refer to source information listed at the end of the report.
